Why You Should Eat More Chocolate

With Valentine’s day coming up we have the perfect excuse to indulge in extra chocolate. But did you know that chocolate has some real health benefits? Yes its like the chocolate Gods have heard our prayers…read on for details on how beneficial this sweet dark brown confection is.

Why You Should Eat More Chocolate

  • Its good for your heart and circulation: Many studies have found that dark chocolate can reduce risk of heart attack and decrease blood pressure. (Read more about these studies here : http://heart.bmj.com/content/101/16/1279)
  • It really makes you feel better: Chocolate contains phenylethylamine which is the same chemical your brain creates when you’re falling in love. This chemical helps boost endorphin levels.
  • Reduces cholesterol: Cocoa found in chocolate helps lower heart disease by boosting the┬álevel of HDL “the good cholesterol” and decreasing LDL or “bad cholesterol”.
  • It reduces the risk of diabetes: Studies have also shown that cocoa can help improve insulin sensitivity. Dark chocolate may delay or prevent the onset of diabetes.

So my darlings there you have it, the perfect justification to indulge in those chocolate cravings!

    I am all about eating more chocolate. I love Lindt’s Excellence 85% and 90% Bars, they are SO good if you like dark chocolate.

    I am a chocolate lover!! I tell people all the time there is nothing wrong with chocolate!! So, I approve this post by the Chocolate society by Joy, HA!
