The Polish Pit

The Polish Pit

Have you ever wanted to create your own custom nail polish color? Well that’s exactly what I did at The Polish Pit.

The Polish Pit is located in NYC (Tribeca) and offers a fun and unique experience like no other I’ve tried.  Shay (owner) is a fabulous host and ensures a fun time. She opened her doors in an area that was suffering from a loss of storefront businesses. Shay saw this as an opportunity to bring in new foot traffic and liven up the area. As many entrepreneurial women she decided to offer women a new and different twist to a product they already use.

So how does it all work? There is a wide array of color pigments to choose from and you can mix them to your hearts content.  A major plus is the nail polish base is 5 free which means they’re free of potentially dangerous chemicals. Being a pink lover I naturally gravitated toward pink pigments. Once blended together you name your color and voila! You’re officially a PitMixMaster!

Oh and I did mention how fun the atmosphere is? There is dance music playing plus snacks/beverages. It was a great night to meet and network with other women. You can also book your own parties, fundraisers, and networking events. The Polish Pit is open Thursdays through Friday (hours vary) and Sundays by appointment only. For more info email

This looks so fun! I love pinks as well. I would probably walk out with a different shade of pink every time. Lol

I never knew that you could create your own finger nail polish. Honestly I don’t think I would every try because I would probably make something really ugly and then be really disappointed haha

Haha I felt the same way! Honestly its really goof proof. You start w/ tiny scoops of pigment and try it out on nail tips. And you can keep adding more or other pigment shades until you’re happy with results. If your in the NY area give it a try. Thanks for stopping by XO
