Hosting an Oscar viewing party? Get ready to roll out the red carpet with some fun entertaining tips that will have your friends nominating you to host every year!!

  • Decorate wine glasses with bow ties to create a black tie look
  • Glam up your hor d’oeuvrs by using tooth picks decorated with gold stars. Make paper stars and hot glue on to toothpicks
  • Serve popcorn in movie theater popcorn containers
  • Bake some star shaped sugar cookies and decorate with gold sprinkles.
  • Serve a cake covered in gold fondant or a gold Hollywood topper

  • Make swag bags for all your guests to take home. You can include small liquor bottles, Star shaped candies and chocolates.
  • Give all your girlfriends gold glitter nail polish with little gold ribbons tied around them, give the gentlemen mini liquor bottles tied with gold ribbon.
  • Make Hollywood star place settings with your guests names that they can take home.
  • Have a picture taking booth with props from all the nominated movies so your guests can take pictures to keep as souvenirs.

  • Use plastic popcorn boxes to display yellow and white flowers
  • Create cardboard cutouts of Oscar statue and spray paint gold and place on serving tables etc.
  • Hang gold stars around on walls and lay on tables.
